On-Site Corporate Move Coordination
By this point in the corporate relocation process, your Project Team is well in place and must now be integrated with the selected mover. The Carter Group will serve as a liaison between the Project Team and the corporate mover and will assist in the final move plan for each phase.
Interviews with department heads or their representatives, corporate move coordinators, and other appropriate staff members will determine the location schedule that best addresses your requirements. The Carter Group will assure that these specifications are incorporated into the final move plan.
Prior to your corporate move, The Carter Group will:
- Perform a comprehensive survey of furniture, furnishings, and equipment (FFE) and identify all record and paper contents to be moved
- Conduct final strategy meetings with your move coordinators, building manager, and the movers to gather information needed to finalize your move phase activity plan
- Develop a contingency plan with the mover to be implemented in the event of inclement weather or other hindrances to the move
The Carter Group's on-site corporate moving services prove invaluable on move day. We will provide assistance during every phase to ensure compliance with your move plan.
While on site, The Carter Group will:
- Verify required directional signage, private office layouts, and location number placards
- Check all origins and destinations for logistical move conditions (e.g. access/egress, elevator capacities, trip durations, dock conditions, route conditions, etc.)
- Act as liaison with building and security personnel to ensure a cooperative effort during the move.
- Be on hand to resolve any problems — union issues, insurance and liability concerns, etc. — that threaten to halt your move and launch a contingency plan when necessary
- Oversee the activities of the mover to maximize the quality of service they provide
As part of our post-move activities, we will assist your employees to ensure a smooth unpacking/settling-in process and implement trouble-reporting/resolution procedures.
